The leader of the medical equipment market - Timago and the leader of telecare in Poland - SiDLY join forces for seniors.
A sense of security is a basic life need of every human being. Unfortunately, more and more often the family is not able to provide the senior with adequate care around the clock. A modern solution comes to the rescue here, i.e. the SiDLY band. It was created out of concern for the safe life and health of seniors.
The history of the creation and effectiveness of SiDLY
The SiDLY band, which is put on the wrist, was created in Poland by Mrs. Edyta Kocyk. The idea for this device came from gratitude and love for Edyta's grandmother suffering from dementia.
How does the SiDLY wristband work?
It has an SOS button, which, when pressed, connects the band with a paramedic. What if the person is unable to press SOS on their own because they have fallen and become unconscious? In such a situation, SiDLY automatically makes a connection with the medical facility. Thanks to the wristband, the medical call center receives a range of information regarding the patient's health and can respond with an appropriate intervention. The SiDLY wristband has two-way voice communication for talking to the call center dispatcher. Importantly, you can also make calls when there is no coverage. It is very important that the band has a built-in GPS, thanks to which rescuers will come to the right place even when the senior has lost consciousness or is unable to tell where he is. Thanks to the mobile application on the phones of family members, they will be informed about the event.
A big plus of medical care is that the medical center knows its ward, wearing SiDLY. This allows for a better assessment of health or life-threatening situations. Stroke, heart attack and fall are the most common reasons for the intervention of the SiDLY medical call center. The use of this innovative solution enables elderly people living alone to be cared for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
